Woke up at 6+am today suddenly..like anxious and thought if I really have to do some calculations for my thesis. Lazed in bed till abt 8am...didn't get back to sleep. So had kopi-O for bfast.
After bfast, spent some time figuring out how to calculate odds ratio (OR) from the given data of my articles but can't get my head around it!! Cos another systematic review reported the OR..so I was trying to figure out how they get it. Of course, I can copy blindly too..haha..but in the end decided to send to A to ask for help!
Went to West Brom as planned and went to the 99p shop but they didn't sell the pipe cleaners anymore!! Then I saw online that there's a bookstore called The Works nearby too but walked around and didn't see it! Anyway saw that Poundland sells assorted pipe cleaners, not the striped ones though. So KIV since I will be passing by later. Went to M&S outlet and they were having further 20% on clearance items!! But didn't find anything. Went to Nike outlet..also didn't get anything though I found like a converse kind of shoe for £20 in my size. But I won't wear it often..moreover they are quite heavy cos of the rubber. Then went to Poundworld to find the pipe cleaner and paper but also didn't have. Went to Primark..luggage tags even fewer now and the foldaway shopper bags too! Arghs!! People all "expected" to go for hols cos it's summer...lots of holiday stuff being sold! Then saw parka in a bag for kids but they are for 7-13yo! Grr..wonder if they will have for younger kids soon.
Then walked back to market area via a new link..bought a bag of granny smiths..then went to Poundland to get the pipe cleaners. Then went to Farmfoods, wanting to get B&J's frozen yoghurt..the other day I saw it was 2 for £3! But today it was £2.25..still cheap la..but didn't buy cos I can get Haagen Dazs from Heron Foods. Today they didn't sell the basa fillets also. Oh, anyway there's a new grocery shop that opened next to Farmfoods and is an asian supermarket..actually I would say is an Indian one..it even sells 出前一丁 instant mee!
Went to Morrisons and they had so many slabs of pork ribs so bought a pack..and the Copella apple and elderflower juice was on offer. I bought from Sainsburys once cos I was thirsty and it was on half price offer so bought to try and it was really good!! Can taste the sweetness of the apples and it's pure juice. Today at Morrisons it was also on half price offer but cheaper..£1.34! So bought..the cashier even asked if it's nice..prob many people bought..hah...
On my way back to the bus interchange, cut through a shopping centre and there I saw "The Works" shop and I recalled that I went in to have a look before!!! Anyway I managed to get the pack of papers I saw online that are suitable for origami. So shall make some of the bookmarks for selling when I'm free.
Alighted at Bearwood to get ice cream from Heron Foods. West Brom also has a store but think it will melt by the time I get home so decided to get from Bearwood. Bought Haagen Dazs choc praline and caramel in the end! V warm today too..and tmr forecast 28°C! L called it heatwave..hahaha! I was supposed to get salad for dinner tmr but forgot..so not sure what I'll wanna cook tmr since it'll be a HOT day!
Oh my! Just read that a Malaysian airliner was shot down in Ukraine by pro-Russian militants!! All 295 people onboard killed!
