Managed to videocall with my niece today before their dinner. Aiyah..today she wasn't in a good mood..didn't want to talk...but when the connection suddenly went off, my bro said she has where gugu went. Hah..this girl...purposely don't talk though I'm in front of her...act shy or dao..I don't know! Was looking at past photos of her the other day...she has indeed grown so much! Chatted with Cel too and her son also v cute..hah..but need to be more man la..ahah..
Met my classmates for lunch..in the end only 4 of us at lunch and the UAE one just came to say hi cos she's gg to Stratford with her uncle and sis. It was nice catching up...I think I click with O and A better than with the Msian girl..heh..can't believe her..we just sat down and waiter explained to us then she straightaway took a tamago negiri for herself..like scared no more like tt! Anyway it was £11.99 for the buffet 12-4pm and after that will be £14.99. I had refillable hot green tea so that was another £1.75 more..for variety, this wins Shogun (the other one our UAE classmate brought us to) cos they have desserts too but quality wise, like the taste of the rice, I prefer Shogun's...maybe cos this one is halal so the rice doesn't have a strong mirin taste. We sat there for almost 2 hrs..haha!
After that went to Primark to see if they have anything I can buy as gifts but nope...but I ended up buying another top for my niece. Aiyoh..I should really stop myself from buying so many!! Walked to Moor St Railway station to have a look at the interior and here's it. Looks different from New St but similar to like Crewe or Chester's.
It was rainy today and cool..had to wear cardigan out but it became warmer in the late afternoon so took off jacket. Then after eating I realised my stuff in my bag were all wet!! My drink had probably spilled out of my Starbucks tumbler...grrr..so it was also raining in my bag! Collected my rail tickets for York from the station before heading home. Anyway, walked to Colmore Row to take bus back from New St cos that's where I'll take the bus on Fri when I'm back from York cos the one I usually go to won't have buses stop there on Fri and Sat after 8pm. Then I realised how near it was from New St station!! So all along I've been walking the further route!! Haha..oops!
Got M's email reply..she was asking if it's easier to cook pork curry if I wanna cook curry instead. So I offered to cook fried rice or bak kut teh or soy sauce pork for the minister who doesn't take chicken. I told her I had planned to cook chicken rice cos it's v local food and something I can cook..food like laksa, char kuay teow, hokkien mee etc. are harder to cook here la! Moreover I had asked mum and dad to bring chilli here..so see what she says. I guess cooking braised soy sauce pork will be quite easy too cos can leave it there to cook. Or bak kut teh but if it's going to be warm on Sun, they may not want soup. Told her if not cooking chicken rice then I'll just give her the chilli since I'll be leaving soon anyway. So see what she says la...Intending to buy ingredients on Sat but will need to know by tmr in case I need to get some stuff at other places.
