Good feedback?

Videocalled my niece today but she wasn't in a good mood to chat. Heard from my bro that she was given Tamiflu the other day and acted funny. Oh well..anyway, will see her really soon!

Sil sent me a pic of an email she got from work email about the International Symposium on Work Injury Prevention and Rehab to be held in Guangzhou (pre-conference workshops will be in HK) in mid Nov. The other time I got the first call for abstracts and my 2nd boss did forward me saying my boss asks if I can submit my thesis abstract..but that time the deadline was June so I told them doubt I can do it in time...but now I checked, the deadline for abstract submission is Sept! Then I whatsapped my 2nd boss to ask if she's going..but I realised she did mention..so check back email..then she asked if I was going to submit..told her may or may not and added I didn't put as my course so prob may not have funds..then she said I can submit and if accepted, they can source for funding..else can be co-fund. I dunno la..I also not v confident that my thesis is worth presenting..haaha! Then my 2nd boss asked when I will be flying back..cos she wanna book me to give external ergo training...alamak..so on meh! I think when I go back I'll be the main person doing work rehab cos she's busy with hosp projects. Gosh...so I shld really enjoy myself now!! She also asked where I'll be gg for hol before I go back..hahaa!

Oh yes, this morning checked and saw that my sup had replied yday evening! She gave v simple feedback that "this has taken shape very well and is very thorough" and then added about the part I asked about the risk of bias across studies that I am not doing. So I replied her asking if it means it's good to submit after I count the number of words...I don't quite believe that it's that good. So anyway sent to Sil and El to vet as clinicians cos so far only sent for English vetting..haha..n Sil was fast..reverted in the afternoon suggesting to improve my intro cos she found it hard to understand..and my sentences seemed to start with same words..Oops..haha..but generally ok..phew! Relief! El will get back to be over the weekend when she has time to read. Anyway maybe the standard is not that high...I'm quite worried abt my tt Oman classmate cos of the basic questions he is asking while doing his systematic review.

Went to West Bromwich in the afternoon. Wanted to look out for diary that my boss wanted..but this year's isn't that nice leh..bought some cards and some foldaway shoppers as gifts..saw Card Factory selling Christmas cards already!! How fast time flies! And I got B&J's frozen yoghurt!! I don't know how this Farmfoods shop can earn or where they get their stuff from. They are selling this at only £1! Was v happy to get it..but waited quite long for the bus..didn't take note of timing..so it was a bit melted when I got home..but put in freezer straightaway la.

Today's weather was rainy on and off then sunny..but the temp was quite nice..it felt like autumn/winter again and people were wearing their jackets and trench coats. Came home and checked email and M had asked me to do poster for their next craft fair in Sept!

Anyway, I had my leftover porridge and was eating my pork ribs when this greedy gal came and stared at me before lying down..so snapped a pic of her.

Then after I finished, she followed me to the kitchen (cos she wants the pork bone la!) so put one into her bowl. And here she is chewing it. But I threw it after she left it on her "bed".

 

Then while I was watching my cooking show on tv, L got a call from a potential tenant. She had to pass the hp to me cos the tenant asked about how much the bus fare costs and cos she's Chinese so L asked me to speak to her directly. So I spoke in Mandarin and she asked quite a lot of questions about travelling time and cost...and if landlady is nice...and she asked if only 2 of us staying here..and I said now yes and her dog. She's a student from China and studying in same Uni as me. L asked her age and she's only 22 or 24yo. L will be picking her up from her place tmr after her work and showing her the room and house then fetch her back. So nice hor? haha..So happen I won't be around tmr evening. But better la..else later say I influence the tenant not to rent. I did mention to tenant is good to experience staying with a local rather than in hostel and she seems to want that too. Anyway, the other potential male tenant was apparently a lecturer going to work in the Uni for a year..and L thought he'll be a good tenant to have..I guess cos matured la. But I thought it was not that appropriate cos heard he's a married man..unless he and his wife are renting the place tog. Think this place really is not bad if not for C.

Anyway, for the record, it has been all peace and quiet except for her quarrelling on the hp last night and a bit in the morning (but I was already awake). She went out after having her ready meal...prob went to meet friend/s for drinks.

Going to Cambridge tomorrow for a 4h (or less if coach arrives there late)! Seems doable cos most of the buildings there are colleges and Unis...so just going to take the punting tour and then walk around to snap some photos and have late lunch/early dinner then head back. So fast tmr wed..midweek already!
