Pork ribs

In the end decided to go Coventry next Sat with S then was looking for places to go and thought of going to the Winterbourne House and Garden within the Uni's campus. Heard from Ch and M that they heard it's nice. And I checked online..it's free admission for Uni of Bham's staff and students!! So asked my classmates if they wanna go..and at first 3 of them said ok...then this morning one msged to say she won't join cos she has sore throat..then other one last min said she can't make it..meet us for lunch instead. So I msged A to ask if he's still keen..else I'll go by myself. These ppl..always say ok then last min can't make it. Anyway, A decided to still go...so here're some pics of the Garden.

Finished looking within about an hour..so msged to ask if the Msian gal was confirmed joining us for lunch..else we could hv lunch earlier. Then as we were walking out of the Uni, met O. He also v funny..called out to us with "Hey!" so I told him I won't respond if people call out to me with "Hey!" hahaha..to be safe! Heh..anyway, he was telling us he can't make it later cos has some banking stuff to do and if it's tmr, he'll be able to make it. Then we decided to ask if tmr was better and turns out yes, the Msian girl was also available..and the UAE classmate had to attend to something urgent today so able to make it if it's tmr! So splendid! But O, A and I sat on the grass to chit chat..and our programme director Dr S also walked past..we were trying to avoid him (cos he's v chatty!!) but he was walking past us..so sure see us..so we called out to him..and he started to chit chat, find out how we are..so we stayed there for about an hour. Dr S was saying the supervisors are all busy reading through drafts..so will take time. It was really nice catching up with them!! All three of us were in like holiday mood...except O la..he's gg to take some faculty exam in mid Sept. Then A was telling me that he'll be travelling around UK instead cos of some visa issues.

Then decided to take bus back home since it looked like it was going to rain (and it was forecast to rain in the afternoon). Waited v long for the bus to Harborne..should have walked. But while waiting for my bus, I met another classmate, H,..the gal who gave us "ang pow" on V-day..seems that she only submitted first 3 chapters of the dissertation! Anyway, decided to continue with my korean drama and bake ribs for tonight.

The Korean drama, 49 days, is quite nice to watch...so far not tear jerking yet..haha...

So tomorrow gg to meet my clique of classmates for sushi at Woktastic...seems like reviews are pretty good! I've walked past it a few times but thought it was like dogdy Asian food cos looked like fushion..so shall try it tomorrow! Seems that it's halal but I don't see any indication..maybe they have been and asked the staff.

Oh yes, my hup tou sou and cheese cookies taste sooooo good now..after a few days. Guess the flavour has gone in! VVV easy to make too..might make for CNY next year.

C was in a good mood today..talked quite a bit...then he asked me for aluminium foil..he wanted to grill his fish then I told him I just finished using it today..then he said it's ok and asked if the one I used is in the bin and I said yes. Then he said he'll use that and wash it. *gasp* I was like "what?" (in case I didn't hear him right) then I walked to the living room...can't believe it. Before he put the fish it, he somemore showed me and said "it's good to go, ain't it?" Gosh! Anyway I was still deciding if to buy a new roll of aluminium foil too..and baking paper..so happen all finish using but I'm only left with a mth. May not bother.

Oh..forgot to mention..A and H commented I look thinner. Then I told them it's cos I don't wear jacket now..cos this is the first time they see me in short sleeves..haha..I personally think I'm putting weight back on again!! Arghs! I need to walk more..hahaha...

Anyway S just confirmed with me that her sup has given her next Fri off so we can go Coventry on Fri then she'll go back London from there (to submit her dissertation). Her dissertation submission is earlier than me but she has oral presentation think about a month later that's why her last date of programme is much later too. It worked out well cos yday or maybe it was this morning that I realised there's some gardening thing going on in church next Sat..to clear some stuff or what..then I thought if there's nothing on, I can offer to help though I'm not into gardening! Haha..then I thought aiyah..cannot help if I go Coventry on Sat..so I'm glad God made things turn out well!!

Just got M's email reply for the meal on Sun. Apparently J doesn't eat anything other than English food! So M offered to feed her..hahaha..and the Scottish minister I took pic with is keen to join but doesn't eat chicken...so I offered to prepare pork..either pork ribs or roast pork belly if he takes pork. So it's 6 people for chicken...and she agreed that 1 chicken and 2 thighs should be enough. Maybe I'll get 1 chicken and 2 chicken legs la..and prob list my ingredients n see if I have space in fridge..else she offered to get them for me too. And yes, she said to cook on Sun morning! Cool! Prob go in earlier to cook then have service.
