Full day lecture with the SHE students today. I was vvv sleepy in the afternoon session..the speaker was a student who also presented his thesis..not sure if he's a repeat student or what...but he's a practitioner. After cls stayed back for some chit chat session with the Marketing ppl..end up only 5 of us stayed back when it's supposed to be all international students! Hmm..ended ard 4.05pm then I caught a bus to Bearwood..wanted to get coffee powder from Aldi. Managed to get frozen salmon too and turns out to be cheaper than what I got from ASDA..but this one is skinless though. A few local classmates went to the German Market this evening and A. joined them. I didn't coz I went and I guess I'll be gg when R comes. As for Fri dinner, I found a Morrocan restaurant..actually I passed by it a few times while walking to the city. It should be nice..and should be halal? But they don't serve pork.
Chatted with one of the Msian girls..one of them offered me cake batik that one of her housemates baked..well, modified cake batik, she says. Looking at the recipe now. There's milo, cocoa powder, condensed milk, marie biscuits (which was substituted with digestives) and eggs. Seems VERY easy to make but sinful leh..hahaha! Anyway, found out that 7 of them are staying tog in a house. Then chatted about Stratford cos 2 of them just went there on Sun...and also chatted abt Msia...I miss the trips to Msia..KL/Frasers Hill, Cameron, Malacca, Penang, Ipoh...the list goes on!
Oh ya, D was telling me that Bedok Mall is open!! There's poulet, Itacho sushi and Tim Ho Wan! Looks like easterners really don't need to go to town in the future. Poulet's tiramisu is nice!! Has to be shared though cos portion quite big esp if u have it after a meal. They're famous for their roast chicken though. And I guess I need not say much abt Itacho! Just look at the always-long queue! As for Tim Ho Wan, also always long queue at PS and much hype when it first opened. Waiting for Imperial Treasure Lamian and Congee House to open in the East. Think when I'm back, many more buildings will be up again!
Ate my leftover soup for dinner tonight and cooked more rice. Maybe will do salmon fried rice for dinner tomorrow! Tmr's another half day of lecture with SHE students then afternoon we have tutorial and group presentation. Thurs will be full day practical...visit to a workshop in Uni to do risk assessment of exposures.
Shall go watch CSI now! Byeee!
