brownies

This morning saw Poppy shit (I think) on carpet and vomit on the floor when I woke up. Poor her..must have been unwell. Anyway L cleaned up.

Went to Uni Chaplaincy today. Today's 1st Sunday of Advent! Had hot soup for lunch after service that Pastor's wife cooked. Soup had potato, celery, carrots and beans. Yum esp in cold weathers. Anyway pastor said may have candlelight service on 15th or 22nd Dec and it'll be at 7.30pm...and one of the nights will have Christmas meal tog as a congregation. Shall see how..if it's 15th then got to see if Rach is keen..but must make sure we have bus home too!

Anyway, went to Aldi to get ingredients for baking brownie. C asked when I'm gg to bake them again...seems tt it was some time ago since I baked brownies. So anyway, I got myself a beanie with ear covers kind from Poundland - nothing fancy just as long as it blocks the wind. I dunno how I walk..I seem to trip over my right foot myself! Hope I don't damage my boots!!

Came home and did my laundry then started baking. Then I thought C didn't hear me when I said I'm baking brownies cos he didn't react...then I realised tt they quarrelled..when I asked L if he's ok. And so, I told L I can bring some brownies to uni and she can bring some to work if C doesn't come back - but I guess he'll leave tmr.

The brownies are damn good!!!! I couldn't resist it either though I've been having too much chocolate lately. Anyway I modified the recipe from a magazine that L followed, didn't use Mrs Nelson's recipe. I think they prefer the fudgey kind whereas Mrs Nelson's is the cakey type that I like. This time I added hazelnuts (bought whole hazelnuts 200g for £1.49 from Aldi). Think the price is ok.

Cooked Tom Yum soup with chicken tonight and managed to save 2 portions so froze one up. It's yummy in cold weathers! Added my wong bok and mushrooms. I cooked it with chicken stock (deboned the chicken thighs and cooked the bones) and it's yummy!

It's amazing how Poppy can sense L is not in a good mood. She actually lay on the carpet even when L opened the door to put the trash out. She'll usually follow and bark or jump around. After L went out then she kept fussy to want to eat but of course I dare not anyhow feed her. Anyway L suspect Poppy might have swallowed the wool from teddy and thus can't digest so vomit...but she seems ok now. Had her trim today too...can see her eyes now..haha!

Tmr is the start of another full-week at Uni. Good that I have some leftover food in freezer so it's easier to be lazy when uni ends late. Oh, I bought the shaved ham again for my sandwiches. Though it's ham trimmings, they are great in sandwiches and today's is flavoured..so have smoked smell and black pepper. Looking forward to having it for lunch!
