no post office

Today was totally VERY windy..I could hear the wind blowing from my room! And so I decided it's time for my thick Sisley jacket that dad bought for me to do its job! It certainly did its job VERY well..haha..esp the hood kept the wind out! I ended up catching 2 buses to Uni...didn't want to walk in the wind. Before I left house, L told me don't get blown off..hahaa...very funny! But I can imagine my thin colleague would've been blown away easily!! Spent some time chatting with L this morning while I was having breakfast..she just talked to me abt C's attitude to Poppy..n how C moved in just before I came..that's why in her email she said only her and Poppy. Ha..now I know! Actually I think we'll get to know each other better if not for C cos I usually don't hang ard them...cos I v 自动..don't wanna be light bulb. OH! My lighting lecturer on Tue said there's no such thing as light bulbs..there's only bulbs in horticulture! HAHAA!

Today had practical session so went down to the Mechanical Engineering workshop in Uni..didn't bring my jacket cos it was too bulky and I didn't want wood dust to be on it. So anyway, I survived the winds..haha..it rained quite heavily in the afternoon but we had switched groups to do the ventilation mock-up set up in our building. It was quite fun...

Looking forward to tomorrow cos it'll be the last uni class day for the year!! Tmr will be more mock exam and case study discussions...not very hopeful for the exam but will try my best! It's really not my area la..hahaha...but I have to at least pass it la. Then after that will be hosting R and we'll be in Scotland! Wheee!! Also, a few of us will be having dinner together! Yday my colleague (now studying in London) whatsapped to ask if I'll be in Bham next weekend cos they're planning to come. Haha..I told her I might go Stratford for a day trip or be in Bham, depending what R wants to do..strongly advised them to come for the Christmas markets! She said will discuss with the other 2 and book tix and let me know...so shall see how. I was and am hoping L will go Stratford too since she said she usually goes there before Christmas..or I don't know if she meant Coventry. But it'll be nice if we can follow her...haa

Wanted to post cards after cls at Harborne but the notice outside the post office read that it's closed today due to industrial action...apa??? I guess it meant strike. Just googled it: http://www.postoffice.co.uk/post-office-branches-strike-action and YES. DUH! Things we often take for granted back home. I guess I'll just go to the Uni centre tmr at lunch to do it....grrr..anyway today a few classmates and I went to an eatery on campus..one of them found it and realised can get hot food and quite decent food for less than £5..cos I brought my sandwich, only saw the others bought rice with side dishes and said was about £2+, which is CHEAP for the standard here.
