I'm now at 1350 words for my assignment. Feel that something is still lacking in one of the sections so awaiting A. and N to reply..asked them what they put in tt section.
Today's weather expected to be sunny and 6/-1°C but I was warm enough with my woolen top and my kaki jacket (I'm still airing my black checked jacket). Oh ya, this morning, I thought I smelled gas when I woke up. Went down to have breakfast and realised one of the gas stove knobs was turned on!!! My guess is that C accidentally turned it when he was cleaning the stove after cooking. Not too sure when it happened but hope not since last night! Hurriedly opened the kitchen door and window to air..even my room attic window and room window to get rid of the smell. Checked with C when he came back. He din realise and said maybe the flame went off when he was cooking last night cos he left it to simmer and he cooked with window open. He was stunned himself...luckily he didn't light his cigarette in the kitchen before he went out to the garden!!
Headed out after light lunch (made myself tuna omelette!) cos I wanted to buy fabric softener. The one at home is running low and I thought I should just buy it since even if I stay on my own, I'll have to buy anyway..so I don't mind la. Checked online and saw that Sainsbury was having offer so decided to go to the nearest superstore which is at Selly Oak. I was afraid the small one at Harborne High St won't have. Anyway I had wanted to check out Seoul Plaza after hearing N talk about it where there's an asian grocer. All along I thought that it was a shopping arcade and the asian grocer was one of the shops but actually it's not. The building is actually shared with a pte student accommodation block and the korean supermarket is next to it in the same building! It's loads more spacious than the one I went to in town. And being a korean supermarket, they had a lot of korean foodstuff!! So I bought my hot pepper paste (200g container for £1.35), soba noodles (89p), some meat marinade on offer at 99p. Also bought wong bok (£1.19/bunch) and frozen long pork ribs (£3.70/kg)! Things seemed cheaper at this Korea food shop..including garlic! I probably can go there next time after Uni to get my supplies. Oh..also saw them selling Mae Ploy curry pastes which is more affordable than individual packs I have been buying..but then again, will I cook that much?! Haha...then went to Aldi to buy chicken thighs and drumsticks that are on offer till tmr..the Aldi there is much bigger. Then finally went to Sainsbury to get the softener. It was a good workout cos I carried at least 5.5kg of load!! I'm happy with my wong bok...not that I'll be making kimchi..but it's great in soups..hehe..
Tonight I'll just have my leftover green curry and tomorrow I'll probably cook herbal soup!
