boring day

Quite a boring day...

Managed to sleep till I woke up naturally (they woke up after 8.30am today so didn't disturb me). Today just continued with my journal readings. I will need to find key literature to use for my systematic reviews lor..then other systematic reviews and author's discussions or narrative reviews can be used as reference when I write up my thesis. Can't quite see how I'll be able to do this for the whole of May! But I'm sure I'll be able to. Just thought how quiet it'll be at home too..besides Poppy's occasional barking if there're strangers ard or neighbour appears.

Maybe tmr will go out to get milk, vege and yoghurt (didn't get yday cos I didn't want to buy too many stuff..heavy to carry). Planned to go on Fri but shall see the weather. Opened my poppadoms today..yumss! And I so love the hob nobs choc chip! Checked the nutritional value, it's healthier than the plain malted milk biscuits! Maybe cos the former has oats in it..

C supposed to roll up the carpets today but still not done..prob when L reaches home then all of us can help too. They're leaving early tomorrow morning (flight at 6+am!)..seriously hope they don't wake me up. And pray that Poppy will be as obedient as today. L just showed me the food for Poppy as she gave her the food this morning but also haven't bought..said will sort it out.

Oh yes, the strawberries were sweet except for some whiter ones. Yums..the grapes here are so succulent and sweet too! Peaches are starting to be on sale..looking forward! And nectarines..yums..

pad thai

Went to get some groceries today..mainly peanuts, beansprouts (yes, tau geh) and prawns to cook my pad thai. I'm leaving chives out and lime but adding lemon juice instead..haha..and adding carrots.

Went to Harborne to buy stamps for postcard and the person told me one is 97p and I was shocked...then he told me increased price since April! Oh well...that's like 10% increase lor! Anyway the guy was trying to have small talk..asked when I'm going back SG after learning that I'm from there..his indian accent was pretty strong though..haha..that's the thing about here. No matter how quiet u may be, ppl will just talk to u can it'll be impolite not to ans! Then passed by the fruit and vege stall and saw that these strawberries were selling for 2 for £1! Each weighs 250g. And they look v fresh! Looking forward to it!

Then went ASDA to get the beansprouts..bought some biscuits and spaghetti too. Too bad the fish marked down today were salmon portions and smoked haddock..no whole fish. After tt took bus to Aldi Bearwood..got prawns, carrots, tomatoes and peanuts.

I'm kinda encouraging PF to come over after her exams..haha! Also told SK she can come too if she wants. We shall see if it happens. And I probably will inform L if it really happens la. Anyway today Poppy peed in the living rm again..and apparently she vomitted in kitchen but L cleaned it up before I went down. Good that L was ard to clean up..from thur I'll have to do it IF she does it! Grrr...just dun fall sick on me la..or anything happen while L is away.

Here's my pad thai..minus chives and tau kwa. Both L and C had it too and cos C ate when he was out, he ate a little..so I have leftovers..but dun seem to see any prawns left..haha!

After dinner, watched a film on tv..Freedom Writers..quite a nice show. Oh anyway L gave me T's hp no. and asked me to text him or ring him so that he has my no. Said he might come at night after work too..but he'll ring me before he comes it seems.

Monday

My day just went passed quite quickly...spent most of today reading again and I'm getting a bit worried cos I haven't found any randomised controlled trials...most are either experimental or narrative review or protocol etc. And I can't possibly review others systematic reviews! Hmmm...

Oh yes, I managed to watch Star Awards and Post Show party last night (thanks to the ppl who uploaded it very promptly!!). Realised how the stars popularity have changed...Geping was right in saying that he's the "older generation" and he probably is the oldest to still get into Top 10! This year Chen Liping and Xiang Yun didn't get in! And I was surprised by Rui En's speech..hah..quite a few stars thanked God..and Pornsak was funny..the cute little elephant he brought gave him luck! Saw this on 93.3fm fb..and the DJs commented it fits the theme this year or passing on the legacy aka 传承

Anyway I made an interesting discovery today. Seems that the British call Nike like hike (1 syllable!) cos C asked me (to confirm) if West Brom has Nike and he said that way and I asked Nike (said as ni-kee) and he said they call it Nike here..and is Americans who call it Ni-kee. I was surprised...haah..but here they way they pronounce some words v strange too. Like Leicester (is pronounced as Lester), Grosvenor (is pronounced as Grovenor), Bromwich (is pronounced as Bromick).

Did my laundry today. Prob end of the week will do my bedlinen. Oh, and I finally ate my "bunny's" ears..haha! Anyway read that the £50 note with Sir John Houblon will not be in used from 1st May. Not that I have or the cash machine will produce it. So I'm ok. Ya, u can imagine how thick the stack of £ I hv to withdraw to pay my rent every month cos they come in £10 and £20.

Kinda looking forward to go out tomorrow afternoon. Going to get some groceries and I'm not sure if I'll need to go to two places cos planning to cook pad thai tomorrow and Aldi doesn't sell tau geh. Unless I go to Selly Oak where there's a korean supermarket. But planning to buy yoghurt and some biscuits from ASDA. Weather forecast is supposedly sunny tomorrow so maybe I can do with both places. Depending on the amount of ingredients I get, may cook both packets of pad thai or just 1 packet. Quite looking forward! Hehe..

Tonight just having my leftover pizza and pasta salad. Yday L bought almond pastries from supermart and offered me one..so didn't eat my cheesecake. Maybe will have it tonight.

Sunday pizza

Hmm...it was a quiet Sunday...got 2 photos from M in church..she had developed them for me..and also developed some to put on the church notice board. She even said she'll develop an A4 of this pic below! The guy is one of the ministers in the circuit and he wore kilt last week. Think his name is John (if my memory serves me right!)

Came back straight after church today..continued working on reading journals. Oh my..it seems like such a long process! I think I will just drop my supervisor an email to update and check if I'm on the right track. I was also distracted la..started searching online for events in B'ham...then saw that there's actually standby student tickets for City of Bham Symphony Orchestra performances. While they only sold them on the day of performances last time, they are now sold a month before the performance!! So I thought I'll get one for Hadyn and Mozart on 14th or 15th May when I go into town on 5th May. My thinking is it doesn't really matter if u can see the orchestra when u attend a symphony one..hahaa..just for the experience cos it'll be in the Symphony Hall. Just hope it's not sold out by then. I'm just being lazy by not going into town if I can. Oh..there's online option too but a transaction fee of £2.50!

Oh..was reading some websites then realised that the site I have been using to check and buy train tickets is actually a search engine kind of thing...and it doesn't include megatrain company..I hv used megabus for my Manchester trip and upcoming London one. Then I realised that I could've gone to their megatrain website and they will show routes by bus or train and they use Virgin trains too!! So I tried with my London trip and I could have taken the train there to save time cos it was only £1 (exclude booking fee of 50p)! But there was only bus option left for my return trip. Now I know! 

Going to bake the frozen pizza for tonight and prob have my frozen cheesecake also. Can't quite believe that it's end April already!! Getting a bit worried if I can more or less finish my research by May..but I'm just giving myself an earlier deadline so that I can enjoy my June trip..haha!

*Added: here's my pizza dinner (I had another 1/4 of it). And I asked when they'll be back..said 20th May. And asked L if there's anything else I should know. So she said neighbour Adam will be taking Poppy out for walk every morning then I just need to feed Poppy in the morning and evening..she'll sort the food out. Then she mouthed that T will pop by too..and I gestured as a relief..hahaha!

erratic Saturday weather

This morning, L came back after walking Poppy and excitedly shouted in to C as she walked in that (dunno what name) is able to look after Poppy. Tt guy is a neighbour and Poppy enjoys walking with his dog (a Schnauzer) too. At first I thought he will bring Poppy to his hse to look after..but L came into my room after washing Poppy and told me that that neighbour will come and walk Poppy every morning and asked if I'm happy to feed Poppy and let her out. She said she'll let me let her out today and see what Poppy does. In my heart I was thinking of course she won't do anything funny la..she's ard..and depends on Poppy's mood. Most of the time she will come to my room to get my attention either to say she wanna pee/poo outside or play. I can't say no rite? Cos she kinda took it for granted I'll be able to do that. Anyway I asked "oh it's confirmed?" when she said she got neighbour to walk Poppy. And she told me she'll remove the carpets so Poppy can run around even if she comes back muddy. Anyway she din tell me formally like gg when to when and who to contact if i need help etc. Think they are v last min. But I should be fine la. Looking forward to baking, cooking and having hse to myself..hahaa!

Spent most of today doing my searches and then started to read some articles and put them under headings. I can't quite see myself doing this for the whole month! I think I may find a cafe to sit down n chill..probably can bring my laptop too. We shall see how things go!

Today Poppy jumped and ran on my bed after she managed to come into my room after her shower..smacked her off. Her fave spot now is the attic esp the sofa. And I think L just put an old duvet out..v unsightly upstairs now. L was trying to find her suitcase before she left the house.

There's chicken being defrosted but chef not in sight and it's 5.42pm now..giving deadline of 6pm else I'll cook my own dinner. This is called irresponsible. Heng I learnt how C tend to give empty "promises" so am prepared with backup plan! Hehe..

My colleagues back home is having a team picnic tmr morning at Marina Barrage lor..cos I read their msgs in the grp chat, it sounds like they'll have lots of fun. Think things will change when I'm back. Not looking forward in a way..haha!

Oh ya, checked weather forecast for June and July and apparently it's about 18-20deg! So not much diff from now. But here the sun super scorching..like in Aust too. Wrote a list for mum to pack my tshirts to bring here. Cos I only brought like 2 short sleeve tops (excluding to wear as PJs). Today had the most erratic weather so far..one moment sunny, next moment heavy rain and then sunny and heavy rain again..but that was according to weather forecast la.

I'll probably head out again next Mon or Tue. Tmr prob just gg church and come back do laundry.

**Added: In the end I ate my frozen leftover while they came back ard 7pm. C still wanted to cook though L said she can have a chicken sandwich and I said I've eaten. So I had a bit ard 8+pm lor..cannot be I go up to my room after he took the effort to cook rite?

Friday - gloomy day

Seems like it's confirmed that they have booked their tickets..or is it just C? I don't know cos C was the one who told me he booked tickets today and this time next week he'll be in Atlanta. Dunno la..v strange that L didn't tell me at all..after all, I should know who to call or what to do if anything happens in the house!

Poppy either puked or pooed on the carpet today..only smelt it and C told me he had to clean it up. Strange cos I went down ard 12+pm ask her to go out but she tried to bite me when I wanted to carry her out. I told L about it and she asked if I smacked her. I said no..I won't dare to hit her! Then she said I should've hit her and tell her "NO!"...seemed like is my fault for not disciplining Poppy? Aiyoh...a while later L told me to just hit her nose and say No..of course she won't want me to hit Poppy up or something but a small hit on the nose is ok. Hmmmm...I think she doesn't believe she tried to bite me la. But whatever...is her dog..and this dog is smart..wayang in front of owner. She's prob not in a good mood today also tt's why cos yday she could run up to my room to get my attention that she needs to go out.

Today then realised the photo album link I sent to my family and friends of my Ireland trip didn't get sent out via photobucket..so did it manually by emailing the link to them.

Started with my database search for my thesis and got a bit irritated with my uni library's online search cos the number of articles from my search results changed after doing it again or they reset my search after being idle for some time. Grr..

Oh, finally got reply from the Europe tour. Said their tour price is like airfare..fluctuates. DUH! They really don't need the business. Anyway that person said the tour is almost full and will increase price within the next 48 hours. Now I don't have a good impression of them and not tt looking forward to their service already...esp staying with stranger for 10 days!!! Only consolation is I have my parents during the tour lor..and probably can stay in their room till I wanna sleep then go back to my own room. Pray hard the stranger is nice and doesn't snore.

As expected, C's chicken didn't appear tonight. I had prepared to cook ravioli since I didn't see any chicken being thawed or in the fridge in the afternoon. Only when I was cooking my dinner that he said he ran out of onions and will cook tmr instead. DUH! When he said that he wanted to cook, I already knew he wasn't serious cos I knew he used up the last onion yday. Haha..what's new. And so this is my ravioli..chin chye cook.

Asked PF and SK if they want anything from SG when my parents come over and both said no need. And SK agreed to let me put stuff (that I want my parents to bring back) at her place before our Europe trip and collect after that trip. Phew! Oh..then PF asked if I know how to make steamed egg cake and she showed me an online recipe. Looks simple..so told her I might try and see how it turns out. If it's good, will steam some and bring over in June! So if I really am home alone or at least without C at home in the day, I might get to try and do some baking, also to break monotony of working on my research. Also told PF she may be able to come over n stay with me if she wants too..hehe..we shall see.

Quite a fruitful day!

Had quite a good afternoon out shopping today! Bought hand and body lotion from M&S as planned...and I bought a pair of flip flops and a luggage tag! Flip flops meant to be like home slippers cos the foldable one I brought gave way already. Luggage tag is meant to be my staff pass holder when I get back (if it can fit) or can give as souvenir too! Saw many nice pumps and almost bought a pair of canvas shoes but I think nowadays I need better heel support for comfort..so can't anyhow buy shoes :(

Bought hob nobs (is like Anzac biscuits according to Wikipedia), chocolate orange teabags, laughing cow cheese (with blue cheese!), cheesecake and frozen pizza from Tesco. I'm happy! Haha..managed to buy a bag of apples too..was a little late so they were keeping already (but not marked down leh!). Met Ch and M outside church on my way out too..

Anyway this evening C asked me how to cook the chilled ravioli for L cos she's home late..then I gave him some suggestions and coincidentally, I also bought a pack the other day. But anyway he cooked it his way..and then told me tt L asked him what I replied (if I wanna look after Poppy while they're away) and he told L tt I said I'm scared of Poppy..later she run away then how! So I asked if they are confirmed gg..and he said yes, probably leaving on his bday on 1st May..but he's getting his ex-gf's friend to get for him cos she works at some airline company. If it really happens, I'm quite looking forward to being alone! Then I won't be disturbed by them in the morning or late at night! How nice if I had friends from SG over though..haha! Or even my parents! Too bad timing isn't right! Anyway C insisted I don't cook tomorrow..he'll be doing my favourite chicken...and I offered raspberry swirl cheesecake I bought as dessert tmr..hehe

Oh..my road trip with my parents now become 1st day go straight to hotel after touching down. How "nice" after I had planned the different routes to take. Too bad that places of interest close at 6pm though the sun sets ard 9pm in summer. Oh well..looks like I've to do more touring myself. Well, at least we have settled our accomm for the road trip. Now left with B'ham for 3 nights before we go to London.

Wed already!

Another day nothing much to update. Stayed home today to start on my thesis prep..only managed to do a bit of preparation to put my article findings in order. Then after tt checked Stonehenge website and realised the last admission is 2h before closing time..which means last admission will be at 6pm. Had planned to go on the day parents arrive but seems like not tt possible to rush in time..so had to replan the route again. Now after searching for accomm near Salisbury and Stonehenge, I'm thinking maybe we can't cover that many places on the first day too cos dad may suffer from jet lag. I'm prepared to give up going to some places also cos hard to say..maybe get held up by traffic or something. Anyway I found a student day tour that goes to Portsmouth and Isle of Wight but departs from Oxford..so maybe can spend a 3D2N to Oxford in end May or July..depending on the tour dates.

Today C went out in the afternoon..then Poppy came to my room so I thought she wanted to go out to do bizzie...and I did open the kitchen door but she refused to go out!! Then only when I came back in that I realised she had already peed on the floor. Heng she didn't pee on the carpet cos C just cleaned it yday! She also quite smart..pee on the floor instead and hid under the table when I scolded her and wanted to beat her butt. Didn't intend to tell L but since she said the carpet looks clean (she dropped her fork on the carpet during dinner! but didn't stain it) then I told her luckily Poppy didn't pee on carpet today! It seems C took her out before he left the hse. Looks like she's choosing people to make her pee or do business..cos she gets treats by L. I sometimes give if she doesn't "fight" with me.

Cooked curry beef (somewhat!) for dinner tonight and tmr. Doesn't look tt appetising but it turned out ok la..added the peanut butter L bought in return (cos I didn't like the texture of it as peanut butter spread) and the curry reminded me of satay sauce! Haha!

Anyway, quite confirmed that I'll be staying with stranger for my 10day Europe trip cos my aunt can't go..neither can my PT friend from SG. And my parents brought to my attention that the tour price has dropped!! I emailed them to ask if I can pay the balance to the current price but have not heard from them. If they know how to do business, they should give some sort of discount lor. Oh well, I can only wait.

Plan to go out tmr..prob to West Brom...buy fruits and see if hv any suitable shoes. Might also go M&S to buy hand and body lotion cos the current one I'm using is finishing.

Ohh..I found out that P's wedding cake (choc biscuit cake) was also Prince William's wedding cake! Haha..btw, PF highlighted that P's dress is similar to Kate's...haha..wonder if she really used theirs as a reference..anyway it's been exactly a week since the wedding already!! How fast time flies!

Almost forgot to blog today! Haha..cos nothing much to blog about.

This am C asked if I made up my mind when I just went down for bfast. Just smiled and said I don't know. After all, L hasn't even asked me!

Went Aldi Bearwood to buy some groceries. Ended up buying quite a bit of stuff..olive oil, honey, broccoli, mushrooms, grapes and fresh ravioli. Bought a honey mustard salad dressing to try too!

Cooked simple spaghetti for dinner tonight. C cooked some lamb I think but didn't offer. Neither did I want too cos they usually eat quite late.

It was gloomy today with only about 10min of sun! But good tt it wasn't raining when I was out.

Shall start on my dissertation tmr. Read some guidelines on how to go about doing in today. So will start tmr.

Easter roast!

It's Easter Monday today..a PH..or what they call bank holiday here.

My hp was giving me problems today..think cos it has not been switched off since Thur..the power button just wouldn't work! Then I googled and apparently, can just take out the battery and plug into USB and it'll work. Cos it was PH, I didn't dare to do it in case it needed repair. But then, it restarted by itself this afternoon after it hung. Just as well..and viola, the power button worked!

Booked an appointment to have a haircut at a training academy on 5th May pm (only later then realised it's a bank holiday again..hope my buses frequency will be normal and not like Sunday's!). Hope it'll turn out ok but quite excited..cos I might wanna ask them to pick hairstyle for me as long as it's not too short or funky. Was thinking my hair will grow by the time I go back SG anyway..haha..might as well..the institute is quite cool too..they also have massage classes so definitely will need models but I shy la..haha..cos sure have to strip everything!

Just checked out what's on in B'ham after N told us in our chat grp that there's a Dance Festival happening. Then I saw a performance by Sylvie Guillem..she's a very renowned ballet dancer..ever saw her performances on TV...then thought twice and felt that perhaps it's not that worth watching it live since not tt much effects. Then quite keen for another performance, Sequence 8...it's by a Montreal circus company. Will think about it..may go to the counter in town to get tickets to save that £1 to get them posted to me! Will probably think about it. Then saw that Wicked! musical is coming to B'ham in July!

L made roast chicken today...here's my "dinner" plate! Heaps of food! We had it ard 3pm...of course, I helped too!

Anyway before dinner, C gave me a shock when he asked if L told me about their intended trip to US then went on to say L is shy to ask me to look after Poppy while they're away. I just replied him that it can be stressful making sure she's ok. L did mention that C suggested they go US for hol but she didn't seem to be keen and was missing Poppy when they were away for a night on Sat! So I didn't think it was going on..then I asked C when it will be cos I thought it might clash when my parents come or in May if I suddenly decide to go for a short trip. Then C said this Sat for 3 weeks! Oh my! I didn't give him a definite ans and he tried to ask what I want from there, they could get for me. I'm like err..it's ok..but I heard branded stuff like coach and dkny are cheaper there. Then asked which part of US he's gg to. And he said I can tell him when I made up my mind. These happened when L was grooming Poppy outside in the garden. So when she came back in and C was out, I told her that C told me about US trip..then she also said that they have not gotten tickets and she wasn't sure if she wanna go. Phew! So at least I did the right thing by not readily agreeing. Will let them sort it out..and probably will let L know I'll be stressed if anything happens to Poppy while they're gone..and I've no experience to walk her in the park! If she wants, of course, she can use me as an excuse saying no one can look after Poppy so she doesn't wanna go. Haha..anyway, this morning L also told me she has moved C's stuff to his flat already. Don't know what's going on with them also. Just now also raised voice cos C wanna L to relax but L has to do housework...duh...haha!

Shall head out for some grocery shopping tomorrow. Not sure where I should go though I'm tempted to hunt for marked down easter egg chocs..hahahaa! Eat and get fat huh! But I also need vege. Oh, I googled the brand of white and black pudding that P served us and apparently the Waitrose at Harborne High st should sell them! So maybe I'll pop by to have a look one of these days.

Woke up ard 9.50am this morning though I set my alarm at 9.30am..must have slept through! And I went to bed ard 10pm last night!! But great that I decided to go nearby church today.

And so I brought my digicam along to take pics of the church..forgot to take the close up of the deco at the door that says "From Singapore" but can prob see as a backdrop. They made me distribute the butterflies to everyone too ;) And James and Sarah are getting married this Sat...and it's lovely that the church presented them with this cross stitch frame! They just attended the services for a couple of weeks only..and coincidentally, they work in my uni. Great couple!

I'm back!!!!

Shall blog more tomorrow...but it's nice to come home to a clean bathroom...but realised my blue toothbrush is missing!! Wonder if L threw it by mistake. Grrr...also packed my rags into the drawer and my other toothbrush, floss and toothpaste into the cup I use to brush my teeth. Shall thank her and ask if she saw my toothbrush! If she really threw it away, wonder why...and I may hv to use the travel ones. Sigh.

Anyway, my trip was VVVVV enjoyable...probably never ever will I get such good trips..cos I got to do touristy bits and farmstay and homestay. Vvv memorable! The wedding was also v simple and lovely! The Irish are definitely vv friendly! Look forward to another trip there to see Giants' Causeway! Coincidentally, P's parents and P are also keen to go! Shall see how things work out!

Oh..passed by church on my way back and I thought I saw the words "Happy Easter...From Singapore" on the door..haha! Shall snap pics tmr! I saw my butterflies too. Oh, btw P and P's mum was admiring them (gave a pair to them each too).

Came home only Poppy ard but C did whatsapp me saying L asked what time I'll be back today..L's whatsapp don't seem to be working..so C became our messenger.

Will have an earlier night today cos past few nights have been to bed earliest 11+pm!

Just got a call from L..said they won't be home tonight and ask me to look after Poppy =X win hor? haha..but they will be back tmr. Thanked her for cleaning the bathroom but will ask abt toothbrush when she's back.

didn't sleep well

Hmm..nothing much to update today.

Was so pissed last night (or rather early this morning) cos C and L came home from dinner ard 10.30pm and heard some other voices..must have brought friends over..then heard them talking and laughing loudly...then had heart thumping music. ARGHS!! Managed to sleep but didn't sleep v soundly..woke up ard 8.30am cos also heard L wake up and go down the stairs.

Anyway morning went to Harborne high street to send off a card then went to look see the farmers market. Bought a pack of dried cranberry from home bargains. Today was quite chilly but I was prepared. Home within 45min.

Then started my HK drama marathon again..still at it now. I've packed my luggage. Doubt it exceeds 10kg but quite bulky esp my handbag. But maybe will borrow weighing scale from L ltr just to be sure. Called transport company this morning but was told to call back at 5pm when they have their schedule. I'm excited!!! Hope I can have good sleeps this trip!

*Added: pick up will be at 6.30am so not tt bad! I think I might be the only one..so is like taking personal cab? haha..

Biscotti

Finally wrote Easter cards and P's wedding card!! Also did my laundry of clothes and sheets. Achievement! hehe..

And I've baked biscotti..my cutting skills have improved! Haha..but I learnt..let it cool longer before cutting..haha! Quite paiseh cos L and C came back when I was almost done baking..then L commented I baked loads..more than last time..so said same except my cutting skills improved so looks more..haha! Actual fact is cos I kept 2 boxes aside last time...this time too. Anyway added vanilla this time (yes, I bought from Asda in the end! Found their own brand so much cheaper than those I saw in Tesco).

Packed for Pam and parents for hosting us..hehe!

Made a mobile for my butterflies..not sure if it looks nice or I should stick it to the window.

Quite excited about our trip. Think PF is too!! And she seems quite nice so far..haha..v impressed by my organisation! Hehee! Anyway found out that our banks charge 2.99% for non-Sterling transactions..that's why our tours and hotels are more than stated by website that is deducted. So we shall bring Euros to pay the remainder for hotel and expenses instead of debiting it..thot if not enough money can still use card. Oh well...shall just be careful when spending..heh..anyway I've limited baggage I can carry with me too!

So tmr will just be R&R for my trip preparation..but will have to discuss with parents abt their June trip. Then pack everything into my luggage..and call the transport company to ask what time they will pick me up to airport.

Butterflies sent!

Today finally sent the butterflies to church! M and Ch were vv surprised to see me! They were delighted with the butterflies but from their reactions, don't think they have such tradition here. Hehe..but M told me Ch wanted to put daffodils as deco so my butterflies will fit in! And then Ch gave me this..said it was given to everyone on Mothering Sun (30th March) when I wasn't ard so they kept one for me.

Praise the Lord that I managed to print out my eticket for airport transfer despite printer ink was low. Went to google the tel no. and found out that it's a pte taxi hire company..and I've to call them to confirm time of pick up a day before. Oh well, at least I got to print the tix.

Have been watching HK drama <<On Call 36 小时 II>>..pretty educational too cos they have graphical illustration of ops they do.

Went to send off the card to Pastor and then went ASDA..and forgetful me, left out olive oil though I put it in my hp memo..I didn't refer to it! Haha! Anyway here are the blooms along Harborne High St and a house as I walked home from the further bus stop.

Think I'll stay home and do housework tmr. Roughly put aside my clothes and liquid stuff for the trip. I shouldn't exceed limit...

Cooked chicken soup with celery, carrots, spinach (bought frozen ones), corn, salad bean mix and added pasta...yums! Kept 2 portions for myself and left the remaining in the pot on stove. Offered C but he said he has eaten ard 3+pm at work so not hungry..but said maybe L will have some when she's back. So left there la. Hopefully if she doesn't, she'll keep it for me. But they usually leave leftovers on the stove overnight..so far nothing happened..haha!

Butterflies!

My clutch bag arrived today and I must say I'm impressed with ASOS's updates with email and smses. The bag was v light..and inside had compartments too. Love it!! Took pic of it with an A4 paper (the returns form). Now I'll just pray and hope the book comes before Sat (book will be part of my wedding gift for P and B)

Spent most of the day working on handmade butterflies. I wanted to make some for Easter for PF and P and her parents since I'll be giving them Easter cards! Then I very much wanted to give some to my church ladies on Easter itself but then thought it'll be nice if I can contribute to the church deco yet I won't be there on Easter Sat to help with deco. So I was thinking of ways to pass to them and then I remembered that they'll be having coffee morning tmr! So maybe I can just drop them in the morning since some of the ladies will be there! So I started making and targetted to make about 50...and I did!! Made some extra for PF, P and her parents..and also some for myself. Thinking of putting on my room window..either stick on window or hang as mobile. Will think about it later on!

In order to "celebrate", I made these formations! How nice if I can make sure deco on my SG room wall..haha!

In case you're wondering why butterflies at Easter...cos they signify new life..when Jesus rose again!

C came home early today..said he finished work and this week is his last week of work cos company closing down. So I guess he'll be home more before he finds a new job? It's great that I'll be away next week! haha!

Oh..and I wrote an Easter card for my Uni pastor and family last night, thinking to post it before I leave for Dublin..then this morning saw his email asking how I am..said he n his wife missed me..haha..oops! Think cos I haven't been attending the service.
