glimpses of UK road trip

Didn't wake up late as I expected this morning. Woke up once at 7+am cos it was pretty warm..and I was in tshirt n shorts. Slept back and woke up again ard 8+am. Had my donuts for breakfast cos I wanted to have bak kwa sandwich for my lunch!! Hehe..anyway, look at the packaging Fragrance bak kwa now has..so posh looking.

Anyway today didn't do much except washing my sheets and pillow cases, vacuum my room. Called my aunt and ah ma to chat...then tried to do a bit of dissertation but not much motivation now. I have emailed my tutor to meet her next week since she said she's around. Probably ask how to write up the results bit. Think the whole month of July will be spent working on the writing up and hopefully will have better mood to cook nice meals..haha..and hopefully I can get to travel before I go back.

Here's some photos from my UK road trip.

It was SUPER windy in Tintagel castle when dad and I were up there!! The wind is nothing like what we've experienced before..can get blown away so I held on to the railings and stayed low as I walked around!!!

Managed to snap a pic of King's Cross railway station while dad drove to return the car. This is where the platform Harry Potter pushed his trolley into and ended up in his world.

Oh, I should also mention that London traffic was crazy!! We didn't even get to walk around in Oxford cos dad was worried about the timing...end up we reached London pretty early than expected and we could put stuff at SK's place before returning the car but we were stuck in the bad traffic for almost 1.5 hours when it should have taken only 30min at most..so we didn't get to check into our accommodation but drove straight to the car rental office (luckily they were understanding and didn't charge us extra..they waited for us too!) so we had to lug our luggages and take overground there. But we forgot to contact our accommodation side..so the owner's uncle claimed he waited there for us for a few hrs..we were all disappointed with tt accommodation cos it was different from what was advertised on the website! And we had to lug our luggages up to the top floor!! Didn't like the area too..but I had already read up and was prepared. Heng we were just staying there for a night.

Oh yes, I must mention that dad managed to get 2 pairs of shoes here..which is pretty rare cos he seldom buy shoes. But it was good cos he wore the Timberland one during the trip. And I wore the pair of shoes he wore here for Switzerland cos I didn't bring any proper shoes fit for snow..which he threw later cos leather was peeling off. Mum got M&S clothes and also some bags. As for me, I got a cardigan from M&S (I know I said I shouldn't buy anymore coldwear but it was damn cheap..hard to resist!!) and a Cath Kidstone wallet. I only managed to get bags for myself when I went back London! When we were at Westfield, Shepherd's Bush in London, it seems like the summer sale has started! Cos almost all the shops had sale and v good discounts too! It seems quite unlike me to buy such "branded" bags..but I thought I should spoil myself..hahaha! I saw a bag in Italy but was unsure if it was real leather..so dare not buy..of course they claim is but one part looked like peeling..so I didn't want to pay that much for that kind of quality..so here are my buys excluding the wallet cos I didn't take pic of it and website doesn't show..

This is quite small, like everyday bag..from Clarks but not real leather
This is more for travelling and yes, from Kipling!! Love the print!
