brief shopping

This morning offered L some kaya to try but she only took a small bit with a spoon and she didn't like it. I told her it's meant to spread on toast and she probably won't be able to taste it with that little bit. Anyway, good la..since she don't like then no need to give her..haha! Next thing for her to try is our bak kwa. Wanted to offer her later in the evening but she asked if can keep for another day to try. Haha.

Skyped with my niece this morning..happen tt my parents were at my bro's place. She's sooo clever!! Can read alphabets already..and show off stacking the blocks, trying to balance. Today she was in a v good mood..somemore kissed me goodbye..means she kissed the hp!! Hahahaha! Such a darling!

Went to nearby church and everyone asked if my parents got back alright. Today had 2 preachers cos one was on trial..ok la..in training. So funny when I read the notice and it said preacher on trial. Hah! Anyway, I brought some of the hanuta and giotto to share..and they took out the Khong Guan biscuits mum and dad brought over too. Next week having chapel anniversary. I asked M if need to prepare anything or contribute anything..she just said if I want to bring something, bring. If not, it's ok cos there'll be plenty of food. But I heard the newly weds bringing cake..so if I do bring, maybe bring some biscuits or cookies..then can keep for other Sundays too. Btw, for those who will be going to Germany, this is the Hanuta wafer and Giotto choc that I like!!

This morning was undecided if to go West Brom after church or grocery shopping. Just felt that I wanted to go out...but can't go ASDA cos the bus is much less frequent than weekdays! Ended up going to Bearwood. Oh yes, earlier in the morning, as I was deciding where to go, I browsed several clothing shop websites and saw that Select had quite nice tops (good for work) on sale. Unfortunately, when I checked the opening hours for the one at Bearwood, it is closed on Sundays. But anyway, after church, I decided to go to Bearwood. When I alighted, saw that Select was open! So went there straightaway and I found the top I saw online! I quite like it cos it can be formal too. So tried it on, showed my mum (on whatsapp) and bought it! It all happened within 15 min! What a fast shopping! I think I'll probably buy a pair of black pants to go with it.

Then went to Poundland wanted to get this Reggae Reggae sauce (supposedly to have jerk seasoning too) but they didn't have but I managed to find it at Aldi! Bought broccoli, honey, dark choc (for baking) and pear cider from Aldi. Bought frozen chicken thighs from Iceland earlier. Then went to Heron Foods to buy some chocs and biscuits for the attachment clinic. Thought it'll be nice to give them something in return for allowing me to observe.

Came home and cos I didn't feel like working on my research, I started doing a ppt on Singapore...cos I wanted to show it during my SG meal for my church people in Aug. Thought it'll be nice to include some photos from my collection too. Oh, there's a craft and wool fair on the last Sat of July. Sound like fun. I'll probably help but not sell anything..haha..but I haven't confirmed with them..just in case I decide to go travelling..but I think I can leave after that Sat too.

Cooked baked chicken thighs for tonight (and tomorrow). Used the sauce as marinate but I think I didn't leave it long enough to marinate..haha..anyway here's my dinner pic.

Tomorrow probably go ASDA buy ginger, pasta and yoghurt. Oh ya, this morning L told me I can have some donut in the fridge. Apparently she bought them "down the road" yday and didn't like them. She said I got her into this donut thing. So I asked is it cos it doesn't taste as nice as the ones I buy..and she said not as soft. I saw the packet in my fridge shelf..thought I saw a few half eaten ones. Hmm....wonder if I'm the "rubbish bin"? Probably try one tmr and throw if I don't like it either.

Offered L pear cider after my dinner and seems tt she also likes cider. Anyway I think this cider I bought is not as sweet as the one I had with PF, SK and HR in London.
