baguette goodness

Woke up at 8am today but still felt tired! Anyway went downstairs for bfast and saw the 2 luggages they used for their trip by the door. My initial thought was "is he gg?" then thought no signs..probably bringing back to his storage space. But I don't know. He rented car recently. Yday I commented to L that I thought a new neighbour moved in when I saw the car then realised is C's rented car. Then she also didn't say anything so I also didn't ask why he rented car. Oh well, the luggages are still there and it's the evening now. Yday found my door open after I went up after dinner..L must have gone to do some packing in the toilet cos my bottles of new shower gel and the empty bottle I left to dry were put on the sink area. Then this morning again went to my rm while I was having bfast to take some men's business shirts out. Usually she will ask before going into my room. She said sorry when after she came down from the toilet, I was sitting on my bed. Anyway today tried the donuts L and they tasted like bread..ate half of the 2 whole pieces and threw. I know very cek ak..but not my money..hahaha!!

Went to ASDA today as planned cos I wanted to get pasta and spaghetti, yoghurt and ginger. End up getting frozen chicken, potatoes cos I plan to cook curry tomorrow (hopefully the pot will be cleared of oil by tmr) and cream cheese and half baguette. Was actually attracted by the olive ciabattas sold in 2s and they were selling for 3 for £1.50..but I will have to freeze them cos can't eat that fast. Then I saw half baguette so bought it..thought of having it with curry..but shall see cos it's also quite tempted to make kaya baguettes or bruschetta with it..haha

On my way back dropped by the fruit and veg stall along Harborne and bought a pack of nectarines. Came home and cut 2 slices of the baguette cos it smelled so good when I was bringing it home! Had it with the cream cheese I bought. It's really vv good!! Crusty and soft inside..wonder why I haven't eaten such nice texture back in SG!

Continued with my research and happen to discuss with El and Sil...then I felt quite discouraged cos it seems that I'm not v clear in my aims and try to achieve too many things..and focus wrongly on SG context when it's an additional discussion point. But I'm also not sure...cos my tutor had given positive feedback so far. Probably will have to discuss further with my tutor on my included studies and results. I'm still awaiting for her reply on what time to meet on Thu.

Weather was nice today..about 19°C and sunny..so was out in short sleeves and slippers. Warming up tomorrow till end of the week. Plan to go Botanic Garden on Wed since it's sunny intervals and 22°C. And most importantly, the flowers are blooming..the type of flowers blooming now is different from spring ones..now seems to have roses and fuschia and lavender..some ppl's gardens look v pretty! Probably can send pics realtime also since I'll still have data plan then. It ends on Thur. After Thu then see when I need then buy one last time before I leave but I probably won't get it for attachment on 9th July so I'll be uncontactable via wifi/mobile data apps.

Just when I was worrying that I'll have to walk to most places and limit my days out after my travelcard expires on 22 July, I went to find alternatives and was calculating if it's worth to get the 4 week adult travelcard or just pay as and when I use the bus. And then, I saw that there's this summer sale..8th July to 6th Sept for £69! I calculated..it will be worth if I go out more than twice a week on average cos I'll only be using it for 6 weeks...but still cheaper than the adult one. It goes on sale tmr..so shall think about it..most prob will get that so I don't have to worry about having enough coins or worry about travelling too often.

brief shopping

This morning offered L some kaya to try but she only took a small bit with a spoon and she didn't like it. I told her it's meant to spread on toast and she probably won't be able to taste it with that little bit. Anyway, good la..since she don't like then no need to give her..haha! Next thing for her to try is our bak kwa. Wanted to offer her later in the evening but she asked if can keep for another day to try. Haha.

Skyped with my niece this morning..happen tt my parents were at my bro's place. She's sooo clever!! Can read alphabets already..and show off stacking the blocks, trying to balance. Today she was in a v good mood..somemore kissed me goodbye..means she kissed the hp!! Hahahaha! Such a darling!

Went to nearby church and everyone asked if my parents got back alright. Today had 2 preachers cos one was on trial..ok la..in training. So funny when I read the notice and it said preacher on trial. Hah! Anyway, I brought some of the hanuta and giotto to share..and they took out the Khong Guan biscuits mum and dad brought over too. Next week having chapel anniversary. I asked M if need to prepare anything or contribute anything..she just said if I want to bring something, bring. If not, it's ok cos there'll be plenty of food. But I heard the newly weds bringing cake..so if I do bring, maybe bring some biscuits or cookies..then can keep for other Sundays too. Btw, for those who will be going to Germany, this is the Hanuta wafer and Giotto choc that I like!!

This morning was undecided if to go West Brom after church or grocery shopping. Just felt that I wanted to go out...but can't go ASDA cos the bus is much less frequent than weekdays! Ended up going to Bearwood. Oh yes, earlier in the morning, as I was deciding where to go, I browsed several clothing shop websites and saw that Select had quite nice tops (good for work) on sale. Unfortunately, when I checked the opening hours for the one at Bearwood, it is closed on Sundays. But anyway, after church, I decided to go to Bearwood. When I alighted, saw that Select was open! So went there straightaway and I found the top I saw online! I quite like it cos it can be formal too. So tried it on, showed my mum (on whatsapp) and bought it! It all happened within 15 min! What a fast shopping! I think I'll probably buy a pair of black pants to go with it.

Then went to Poundland wanted to get this Reggae Reggae sauce (supposedly to have jerk seasoning too) but they didn't have but I managed to find it at Aldi! Bought broccoli, honey, dark choc (for baking) and pear cider from Aldi. Bought frozen chicken thighs from Iceland earlier. Then went to Heron Foods to buy some chocs and biscuits for the attachment clinic. Thought it'll be nice to give them something in return for allowing me to observe.

Came home and cos I didn't feel like working on my research, I started doing a ppt on Singapore...cos I wanted to show it during my SG meal for my church people in Aug. Thought it'll be nice to include some photos from my collection too. Oh, there's a craft and wool fair on the last Sat of July. Sound like fun. I'll probably help but not sell anything..haha..but I haven't confirmed with them..just in case I decide to go travelling..but I think I can leave after that Sat too.

Cooked baked chicken thighs for tonight (and tomorrow). Used the sauce as marinate but I think I didn't leave it long enough to marinate..haha..anyway here's my dinner pic.

Tomorrow probably go ASDA buy ginger, pasta and yoghurt. Oh ya, this morning L told me I can have some donut in the fridge. Apparently she bought them "down the road" yday and didn't like them. She said I got her into this donut thing. So I asked is it cos it doesn't taste as nice as the ones I buy..and she said not as soft. I saw the packet in my fridge shelf..thought I saw a few half eaten ones. Hmm....wonder if I'm the "rubbish bin"? Probably try one tmr and throw if I don't like it either.

Offered L pear cider after my dinner and seems tt she also likes cider. Anyway I think this cider I bought is not as sweet as the one I had with PF, SK and HR in London.

Boring day

Again nothing much to update. Worked on my dissertation..then got bored so msged JJ to chat. Good to hear she has found a job and happy there...and her workplace is near to mine too! V fast lor..her 2nd boy coming to 1yo soon! Oh, but today L asked if I wanted to go to Tesco and BnQ since she was going..but cos she asked just before she left and I wasn't dressed in going out clothes, neither did I have anything to get from Tesco, I said I'm ok for today. Probably when my bus card expires I might go there instead..haha!

Oh, the OT I requested to have attachment with replied my email and added forms for me to fill too..and she said preferably no jeans but told me not to be too worried. So I either buy a nice work top to go with my M&S kaki pants I bought when I first came or buy work pants and top from Primark. Haven't decided when to go..whether tomorrow after church or next week. There's still time till 9 July. Then heard from my mum that my bro and sis-in-law are looking out for raincoats for my niece the other day and asked what size I should buy then cos I was a bit bored of research, I did a quick google search and saw that there're some by George and F&F..then the others are brands in Debenhams and John Lewis (dept stores). Think it'll be better to have a look at the quality rather than buy online. Anyway, the other day I looked out at Primark but didn't have. Maybe if I go in Uni on Thur as planned, I might go into town after if it's not too late. So shall look out when I next head out. Planning to go ASDA on Mon but haven't decided if Halesowen one or the nearby one. Halesowen one has other shops and I can buy my pork leg! Hehe..but further la.

Some of my colleagues showed our team the new Sports Hub via our team group chat. Looks v impressive. Oh, and today's one of my cousins and first aunty's birthdays. Wah..I was surprised to learn that my cousin is 21 today! He seemed so much younger than me..hahaha..ok, I'm old! Next will be her sister..then all my cousins will be considered adults!

Weather wise today, it was light rain with a bit of sunshine on and off. Can't believe it! L switched on the heater when she came back from shopping. HAHA! Said it's cold. Think she needs more fats..not me lor..yday she told me I'm too thin..must have some fats in my diet. She thinks what I cook is v healthy...but is not what! To me is normal...is English diet too "unhealthy" but I think not as bad as US's.

rainy day

My "parcel" came today..bought some stuff as gifts for my TAs..shared with PF. Didn't know delivery so fast cos I only ordered on Wed! It came in such a big box but good cos I put my barang to bring back SG into it. I'm v worried about the baggage allowance lor and looked at shipping..then realised the one that I was looking at is have to pick up at the port of arrival (somewhere in SG)..if want door to door then will likely be air freight and more ex under another company. And surface shipping takes 4-12 weeks!! Strangely they put foodstuffs as restricted goods. So if I need to ship, I'll probably have to ship my clothes that I don't need immediately when I go back SG. But mum thinks I should have enough luggage space. I really don't know. Considering I didn't buy much more stuff here (and didn't buy any books), throwing/donating some stuff away and using up my creams and stuff, it probably is ok? Just that each time if I wanna buy stuff, I'll have to think twice. Checked with my colleague who was here last year if she bought gifts for whole dept and TLs/ATLs..she only bought foodstuffs for all the teams. Then I discussed with PF. One possibility is she buys for 2 teams and I buy for other 2 teams and no need to buy specially for the TLs/ATLs except our boss and 2nd boss. So that should even out the load.

Anyway today L left the house v early..heard her hair dryer ard 6+am! Then it was so quiet until I thought maybe C went with her..but he woke up at almost 11am. While he was out, Poppy pooed in the kitchen floor (near door) and also vomitted saliva near her territory cos she go to the park this morning and didn't eat (respectively). I had to clean them up la..else later it will be so unhygienic when I cook dinner! Told C and L when they came back. C totally can't be bothered with Poppy..haha. I should charge cleaning fee or have discount on my rent hor? HA!

Continued to work on my dissertation. Doing up the discussion bit now. Have yet to hear from my tutor what time she wanna meet next Thur. Cooked soup today as planned but L didn't have it cos C came back after I cooked and cooked lamb rice (which I tried..was good!). There's no football matches today so L joked and asked what they were going to do..and cos I was watching my cooking programme, she jokingly said "oh..we resumed normal services today" cos that's what I usually watch at that time when I have my dinner. Haven't watched since I came back cos there was always football on and moreover, I wanted to watch my local drama online.

Going to finish catching up 球在你脚下 soon...have finished watching 日落洞 a few days ago. Oh, my Irish friend's wedding video is available online already! Brought back lovely memories. Hope to meet her up again before I head back SG.

Shopping mood...but resist!

Did a bit of work for my dissertation this morning before heading out. Was still deciding if to go grocery shopping or shopping at West Brom. In the end decided on West Brom. Oh, and had a very very short video call with my niece...they had dinner tog with my parents..what a spread lor! Think she was busy eating..didn't smile at me this time..but waved bye bye to herself. HAHA!

Anyway, I was so tempted to buy stuff today! Prob in the shopping mood! First it was this cloth expandable cabin bag..it weighs 2.9kg according to the tag..and going for only £14.99! Whatsapped my mum to ask of her opinion..she said can buy..hahaha..then I looked at it further and saw that the lock is lao ya padlock kind. Moreover is not 4-wheeler. Before I came over, I had intention to throw my DBS bag here but now it seems like it can probably still last till I go back SG...and this is not a good substitute for it cos not 4-wheeler nor hard case. So conclusion: nice to see, don't buy!

Then went over to New Square where Primark and other shops are..there was a casual sachet bag from Deichmann going for only £4.99 (can't take pic cos too near counter..I shy!)..then saw a pair of girls pink shoes for my niece. Decided not to buy both cos I bought 2 bags already!! and the shoes..quite similar to the one my parents bought when they were here. Then went to Primark..and this was what I was looking for in the London outlet we went but couldn't find.

I decided to start getting souvenirs for friends and got some luggage tags but the neutral looking one with "LDN" and icons of UK were not available..more travel card holders sold instead..so only got a few...then msged El and Sil to ask which they prefer and they chose canvas tote bag so bought some but both designs are with Union Jack (so that can tell is from here mah!). And then saw this so pretty 大陆 bag! But no, resisted the temptation!

And this sachet bag caught my eye too. Mum said buy to make myself happy. Isn't she supposed to discourage me?? Hahahaha! But this one I'll think about it...they probably will still have it the next time I come cos think is new. They have it in black too..the front rounded zipper is only 1 side so just for design, unlike my kipling one.

Then went to the market area to buy some fruits. Bought 3 boxes of grapes for £1 but made sure they were not spoilt cos some bags had mouldy ones. The cherries they sell look cheap and fresh too but I can't eat so many fruits la..cos at home I still have nectarines and kiwi fruits. Then popped by a shop called Farmfoods. M from church told me she bought her foodstuff for breakfast the other time from there and is v cheap. It's true but most are sold in bulk..like frozen salmon..3 for £10! I got basa fillets 400g for £1.25 and eggs (15 for £1)..even the frozen chicken thighs too..v cheap but big pack. Headed to Morrisons next cos I wanted to buy pork ribs to cook soup tomorrow but they only had 2 small slabs left! So didn't buy.

Came home and put some grapes into Poppy's bowl. Surprisingly she didn't eat! Left a box of grapes in their fridge shelf for L. Oh, then I started to list friends/colleagues whom I have to buy gifts for and it was a long list!! Oh myyyy! I might have to shortlist further..or find gifts that are light and easy to carry. Also hope they don't expect me to get them gifts since I'm here for studies, not for holidays!! This time no one will be helping me bring stuff back lor! Think I'll have to pack a little when I'm a bit bored with my research so that I can see how much space I might have left.

Don't know why stomach has not been that good since my last day in London. Wonder if it's the bread..it's like urge of ls but stools are not that loose as ls type. Oh, and I had a bout of nose bleed on Sat night..and today when I happen to pinch my nose too..maybe zua.

Yay!! My dad has sent me photos with me from our trip..most were v candid shots and unglam ones of me!! Picked out the nicer ones to upload to my online album and I'll be ready to share with my family/friends!

Just saw email from Uni pastor..they are next meeting on 6th July but I won't be able to make it cos there's chapel anniversary lunch at my nearby church and the newly weds will be showing us their wedding photos. So I guess the next time I go to the Uni church will be mid July and my last time there since they are taking a break in Aug. Just as well cos my bus travelcard ends on 22 July so I'll be limiting my bus trips.

lovely weather

Hmm..nothing much to update today. Just spent today working on my dissertation..doing the discussion bit and then trying to simplify the summary of findings table. Found out that the 2 acting ATLs at work will be studying this Sept..one is gg to PF's uni while the other is doing locally..web-based with a few trips to USA. So looks like PF and I will still be ATLs..thot can siam! Oops! Anyway yday PF and I bought something online for our TAs..initially I told her about the offer cos I only wanted a few items so wanted to ask if she wanted anything so can get free delivery..end up we decided to buy for TAs so I spent enough for free delivery. Then after registering with them, there was a promo code and I only registered after I had made my order..so irritating lor..could have gotten another free gift! Oh well...never mind la.

C has been at home pretty much, only going out sometimes in the afternoon...and evenings has been football so I've been pretty much cooping myself in my room. This morning L asked to come in to my room to get the TV..she wanted to send it for repair..but I guess is to give away or something cos it had been spoilt since Dec and now then look for it. Wonder what C's plans are but none of my business also..so I didn't ask. Neither did I ask why he moved back in though she said she won't let him move in again. I shall just mind my own business, do my work and clean up my own mess for the next few months, likely 2+months!

Weather has been lovely - meaning sunny yet cooling. Heng not too warm cos there's no fan in my room or the house, in fact! And my room windows are downward facing which means not much air can get in and if I open it big, can hear traffic noise or people talking outside (rare though)..and insects fly in!

Likely will go West Brom tmr for some shopping (yes, I know I should stop buying stuff but just go look see look see). Thinking of buying work pants but probably wait for the OT's reply if jeans is allowed at the outpatient clinic that I'm gg to visit the following week. My guess is that they might be more lenient here..moreover is outpatient clinic and I'm a student visitor. Haha. Anyway, I bought nectarines from Aldi on Mon and tried them today..not as sweet as those we bought during our trip..so maybe next round will get from Tesco. Cooked salmon fried rice today and used up my korean chilli paste. Cooked more so that I don't have to cook tomorrow. Been quite lazy thinking of what to cook and depends on availability of pots too. Then fri since weather forecast is rain and 16°C, I'll probably cook some soupy stuff. Oh, and I saw my mini wok being more charred. Had wanted to throw it away after showing dad but kept it there and thought of throwing it tomorrow but seems like they use it? Maybe leave there till I leave la..

glimpses of UK road trip

Didn't wake up late as I expected this morning. Woke up once at 7+am cos it was pretty warm..and I was in tshirt n shorts. Slept back and woke up again ard 8+am. Had my donuts for breakfast cos I wanted to have bak kwa sandwich for my lunch!! Hehe..anyway, look at the packaging Fragrance bak kwa now has..so posh looking.

Anyway today didn't do much except washing my sheets and pillow cases, vacuum my room. Called my aunt and ah ma to chat...then tried to do a bit of dissertation but not much motivation now. I have emailed my tutor to meet her next week since she said she's around. Probably ask how to write up the results bit. Think the whole month of July will be spent working on the writing up and hopefully will have better mood to cook nice meals..haha..and hopefully I can get to travel before I go back.

Here's some photos from my UK road trip.

Stonehenge, Amesbury

St Ives, Cornwall
Port Isaac, Cornwall

Tintagel Castle, Cornwall

It was SUPER windy in Tintagel castle when dad and I were up there!! The wind is nothing like what we've experienced before..can get blown away so I held on to the railings and stayed low as I walked around!!!

the Royal Crescent in Bath

Bath Abbey

Bath town area
World's smallest house, Conwy (North Wales)
Ilanduodno, North Wales
Conwy castle, North Wales

Oxford University, Oxford
Managed to snap a pic of King's Cross railway station while dad drove to return the car. This is where the platform Harry Potter pushed his trolley into and ended up in his world.

King's Cross station, London
Oh, I should also mention that London traffic was crazy!! We didn't even get to walk around in Oxford cos dad was worried about the timing...end up we reached London pretty early than expected and we could put stuff at SK's place before returning the car but we were stuck in the bad traffic for almost 1.5 hours when it should have taken only 30min at most..so we didn't get to check into our accommodation but drove straight to the car rental office (luckily they were understanding and didn't charge us extra..they waited for us too!) so we had to lug our luggages and take overground there. But we forgot to contact our accommodation side..so the owner's uncle claimed he waited there for us for a few hrs..we were all disappointed with tt accommodation cos it was different from what was advertised on the website! And we had to lug our luggages up to the top floor!! Didn't like the area too..but I had already read up and was prepared. Heng we were just staying there for a night.

Oh yes, I must mention that dad managed to get 2 pairs of shoes here..which is pretty rare cos he seldom buy shoes. But it was good cos he wore the Timberland one during the trip. And I wore the pair of shoes he wore here for Switzerland cos I didn't bring any proper shoes fit for snow..which he threw later cos leather was peeling off. Mum got M&S clothes and also some bags. As for me, I got a cardigan from M&S (I know I said I shouldn't buy anymore coldwear but it was damn cheap..hard to resist!!) and a Cath Kidstone wallet. I only managed to get bags for myself when I went back London! When we were at Westfield, Shepherd's Bush in London, it seems like the summer sale has started! Cos almost all the shops had sale and v good discounts too! It seems quite unlike me to buy such "branded" bags..but I thought I should spoil myself..hahaha! I saw a bag in Italy but was unsure if it was real leather..so dare not buy..of course they claim is but one part looked like peeling..so I didn't want to pay that much for that kind of quality..so here are my buys excluding the wallet cos I didn't take pic of it and website doesn't show..

This is quite small, like everyday bag..from Clarks but not real leather
This is more for travelling and yes, from Kipling!! Love the print!

me back!!

I'm back!!!!!!!!! It was a wonderful trip!! Road trip was fun but stressful cos I took on the role as a navigator (ie. cannot sleep while driver drives!!)..Europe trip was vvv scenic but tiring. The tour leader calls it the holy trinity: 6.15am load luggage to coach, 6.30am breakfast (provided by hotel) and 7am coach leaves (means got to go toilet, board bus before tt!)...that was the only part I'm not happy with! I really love Switzerland!!!!! No doubt it's the most expensive country, the mountain views were stunning! And the best part was cos my parents and I didn't join the optional tour to Jungfrau, we went to Schiltorn's Piz Gloria where we later found out that that was where James Bond movie was filmed. The journey from our hostel consisted of train, cable cars, bus and scenic walk through a village called Mürren and it was at our own pace..and we managed to explore the city after gg back too while those who did the Jungfrau one with the tour leader came back late. Venice to me was disappointing!!! I don't know why I had the impression that it was a romantic place with gondolas and clean blue waters. Don't think it's cos I went to Venetian Macau or our own MBS mah! But the canal is like our longkang..n buildings v old. Here are some glimpses..took a total of 774 photos for Europe trip! Road trip was 241!! My goodness!

The all famous Eiffel Tower!

Notre Dame Cathedral

The Lourve

Youth Hostel in Switzerland (Interlaken)

View from hotel room!!!

Need I say more? This was in Schiltorn

Waterfall in Switzerland

Leaning Tower of Pisa and vicinity

Church in Florence, Italy..made of white marble

On the way to Germany

The Town Hall where the Glockenspiel is "housed"

And then it's to the Netherlands!

Brugge, Belgium
Watched Wicked...AWESOME!!!

Westminster..love this pic cos it has the London cab in it!
Oh, anyway pray hard my digicam can last till I go back..the lens crack getting more obvious. Realised the photos turned out really beautiful!!!!!!! Besides sightseeing, I ate loads!!! Compared to my usual "lifestyle" here. During the road trip and Europe trip, mum's almost-daily food is ice cream/gelato while dad's was fish and chips and then pizza, not forgetting his red wine! Am glad my parents esp my mum made it throughout the trip..haha..none of us fell that sick..dad only had sore throat during the first few days and mum n I had a bit of stomach upset last night n today..heng didn't have to go toilet during my coach trip! Oh ya, my roommate was a Pakistani who works in Dubai..a few years older than me but she seems ignorant and BLUR! Maybe I'm matured for my age..I dunno..haha..but ok la..I did everything quite fast and sometimes I'll go to my parents' room so don't spend tt long sharing the room with her..haha!

Anyway I did the refunds for all the oyster cards (equivalent to our ezlink card) including mine cos I didn't want to stress about having to go back to London to get my refund before I head back to SG. Currently no plans to go London again..but I do plan to go Ireland for Giant's Causeway but might go Belfast instead of Dublin since I didn't cover there the other time and they are under UK too. For road trip, we didn't cover some places we wanted to like Cotswold, Southampton, Oxford (only drove in and out) but doubt I'll go on my own. Now I worried about dissertation too but I think I can put in a trip just after I submit my draft and before tutor gets back to me..haha!

Coach journey back felt fast maybe cos I was chatting with my friend on my hp and an interesting male character sat next to me. Initially he was seated on his own by the window..then a family of Sikhs were the last few to get up the bus (think something wrong with their ticket) and the woman asked if he could sit next to me so that she could sit with her husband..grr..i kinda pity him..cos I think he wanted the window seat to sleep..he was fidgety throughout the journey..but guess he would've taken my seat after I got off (the coach goes to Aberdeen in Scotland). The coach was noisy cos this woman was talking loudly too..and I accidentally put my mp3 player in my luggage so can't block out the noise..

Came back and unpacked my luggage..then it seemed like I still have quite a lot of stuff! And I wondered why I didn't ask my parents to bring back my Nike jacket after I wore in Switzerland. I must have been dreaming!! Bo bian la..maybe still got to freight. Shall see how things go. Oh ya, there was a small bottle of shower gel in my toilet and noticed a few spots of urine on the seat and the seat and cover were up. I remembered I covered it before I left. I tried looking for traces if someone stayed here or what but didn't notice anything else unusual. I gave the gel back to L when she came back, together with the rent and little gift..she seemed surprised like not hers..but she din say anything. When I gave her the rent, she asked herself where she should put it and I said yes, keep it safe. And then she said she has put (some money) safe in her clinic *gasp* and added she still doesn't know where the money went. Btw, C has moved back, as I expected..while I was away on road trip, he moved back..mum and dad met him too.

Then after tt transferred my photos and did laundry (though few clothes) and decided to head out to post bday card to my Irish friend and then to Aldi to get some fruits and vege. Ended up buying carrots (on offer only 49p!), bread (cos I have bak kwa and kaya to eat with now!!), mushrooms, nectarines and kiwi fruit. I had defrosted my chicken leg to cook tonight but when I came back from grocery shopping, C was preparing to cook and offered mackerel cooked in his style..so I said ok (else I'll be fighting for space in the kitchen also ma).

Oh yes, I finally got reply from my dissertation tutor..said I'm doing well and can continue..phew! Heng I emailed her before my trip lor..cos she only replied last Fri! She suggested meeting up next Thur..told her I'll let her know..cos I also must know what I wanna ask if I meet her ma..hahah! Shall start working on it again either tomorrow or Wed.

And this is the sky at 9.48pm. We had the longest day on Sat..

Heng it's cooler here than in London!
